Is it just me, or does this Fendi Ombre Logo Basket Tote have “Samantha Jones” written all over it? (No wait- it’s got “Fendi” written all over it.) While I could definitely see our lusty logo-loving New Yorker falling for this flashy Fendi, I’m not sure I can. Available in blue or red, the coated vinyl tote does have a certain over-the-top kitschy appeal that might be fun for a weekend afternoon or a trip to the beach. Eat your heart out, Guy. Madonna’s new campaign for Louis Vuitton proves that she’s not one to let a bitter divorce and a birth certificate that says she’s 50 bring her down. Shot by photographer Steven Meisel, the new ads show the Material Girl putting those yoga classes to good use while showing off two Louis Vuitton purses. I’m kind of into the exotic beading on the classic monogram style, but I have to save that the mustard-hued version with the oversized beads leaves me a little cold. What do you think?

Another day, another Louis Vuitton for Kim Kardashian, who dropped by Dash for a little shopping with her sisters. This time it’s the Traveler, from the Cruise ‘09 collection designed by Marc Jacobs. I’m not particularly crazy about this bag, though I love how roomy it is. It doesn’t exactly scream “practical!” for a day spent gallivanting around town, does it?

For me, Nicole Richie has sort of fallen off the map. I used to be semi-obsessed with her style, tracking down Jil Stuart shorts and Curve camisoles like it was my job. Then she grew up, had a baby and disappeared. Nicole is still out and about every once in awhile, but I guess the paps don’t care about her anywhere near as much as they once did because we don’t get a ton of candid shots of her anymore. But when we do, you can bet 8 out of 10 times she’s rocking her good ol’ Balenciaga City in black. The bag goes with everything and is becoming a classic for those under 40. The economy may be in the tank, but that hasn’t stopped celebrities from putting their stamp on pricey fashion lines. Next up is “Heroes” resident cheerleader, Hayden Panettiere, who has collaborated with Dooney & Bourke to create the Hayden Clutch, a striking jewel-toned clutch with a dramatic gold lion’s head closure (apparently Hayden is a Leo). Priced at $295, the clutch comes in blue, red, green, brown, and cream with gold piping, which gives it some everyday potential - but perhaps not so much evening potential. What do you think?
